FFIF elects UPM's President and CEO as chairman
The Board of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation has elected Mr. Jussi
Pesonen, the President & CEO of UPM-Kymmene Corporation, as its chairman for
2007. Mr. Kari Jordan, the President & CEO of Metsäliitto Group, and Mr. Kai
Korhonen, the Senior Executive Vice President of Stora Enso Corporation, were
elected as deputy chairmen.
The elected Board members are Mr. Esa Karru, the Managing Director of Peterson
Packaging Oy, Mr. Juha Kuusisto, the Managing Director of Veljet Kuusisto Oy,
Mr. Jyri Nenonen, the Managing Director of Kinnaskoski Oy, Mr. Sverre Norrgård,
the President & CEO of Myllykoski Oyj, and Ms. Sari Rämö, the Managing Director
of SCA Packaging Finland Oy, to the Executive Committee. Karru and Kuusisto are
new members on the Executive Committee.
The annual autumn meeting elected Mr. Mikko Helander, the Managing Director of
M-real Ltd Corporation, Mr. Jouko Karvinen (from 28 March 2007), the Managing
Director of Stora Enso Corporation, Mr. Reijo Svanborg, the Managing Director of
Finndomo Oy, Mr. Sakari Wallin, the Managing Director of Puhos Board Oy, and Mr.
Mikael Åbacka, the Managing Director of Stromsdal Oyj as new members of the
Board. The number of Board members is 30.
