CEPIPRINT asbl is the Association of European Publication Paper Producers, which represents the industry sectors of Europe's newsprint and magazine paper grades within the Confederation of European Paper Industries
(CEPI).
CEPIPRINT is a legally and financially independent association based in Brussels, Belgium.
CEPIPRINT is a non-profit making organisation funded by its members.
CEPIPRINT members are manufacturers of newsprint and magazine paper grades in Europe.
CEPIPRINT membership currently includes 52 companies belonging to 16 independent
groups, around 70 paper mills and 165 paper machines in 13 European
countries.
In June 2001, CEPIPRINT became an affiliated member of the
Pulp and Paper Products Council
(PPPC) based in Montreal, Canada. PPPC is an alliance of product
associations serving an international membership in the pulp and paper industry.
PPPC membership today accounts for close to 60% of global market pulp capacity and more
than 50% of world communication papers capacity (newsprint and printing &
writing papers).
In North America, PPPC serves its members through five product associations:
North American Newsprint Producers Association, Market Pulp Association,
Printing and Writing Papers Association, Packaging Mills Association and Paper
Recycling Association.
Internationally, PPPC serves the pulp and paper industries through two
associations - World Market Pulp Forum and CEPIPRINT.

CEPIPRINT'S structure

The highest decision making power is held by the CEPIPRINT General Assembly, which includes representatives of all member companies. The General Assembly meets twice per year and elects the Board.

What does CEPIPRINT do?

The role of CEPIPRINT is to serve its members by:
. collecting, processing and analyzing relevant statistical data,
. evaluating results of comparative supply and demand
studies,
. coordinating European and global market research,
. helping to create or modify industry standards,
. safeguarding common interests at an international level,
. taking an active role in industry-related environmental
issues.
In addition to working for the benefit of its members, CEPIPRINT is also keen to raise public awareness regarding the newsprint and magazine paper sectors.

CEPIPRINT'S history

The table below shows European magazine and newsprint statistical associations development
in 1968-1994. From then on, CEPIPRINT has been the main association for
publication paper producers in Europe. The company remained in Zurich,
Switzerland until the beginning of 2002, when it relocated to Brussels, Belgium.
CEPIPRINT is now located at the same address as many other industry associations
including CEPI, CEPIFINE, ECO and CEPI CARTONBOARD.
